Winter Weather Advisory issued for Clearwater County
National Weather Service-Missoula has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Clearwater County and surrounding areas which will be in effect until 9 a.m. Pacific Time Saturday for snow and ice.
Icy roads and surfaces overnight will impact travel as ongoing snow showers have caused wet roads. Temperatures in the 20s tonight will cause patchy ice and slick driving conditions. Showers are decreasing and should end around midnight. Ice will persist until after sunrise, according to NWS-Missoula.
Locations of impact include paved roadways across Central Idaho and Western Montana. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, blowing snow or ice accumulations will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
