Forests seeking ideas on weed management

The Clearwater, Nez Perce, and Bitterroot National Forests are seeking ideas from any citizen interested in the problem of invasive weeds in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness.

The Forests are in the early stage of developing a comprehensive plan to deal with the situation.

In order to better understand the concerns of the public and the range of possible solutions, the Forests have scheduled two public meetings in May.

The first meeting will be held May 17 at 7 p.m. in Grangeville in the basement of The Elks Club located at 111 South Meadow . The second meeting is scheduled for May 25 at 7 p.m. in Hamilton, MT at the Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor's Office.
