Friday: CD and Nat Brown found the "green gold".

As timber stands in other areas diminished, new areas for logging were being sought. In the 1890s CD and Nat Brown came west seeking "green gold". They found it in the abundant white pine and other evergreen forests of the Clearwater region. Their find was instrumental in opening the area to logging, which for decades has been a major industry in this area.
