Thursday: Big garden

During the 1930s Depression Era, Clearwater County had a "poor farm" in the Chase's Flats area on the south side of the Clearwater River. There were rough board shacks or cabins. Individuals and families without money lived there and the county helped with some of the necessities such as wood. There was also a big garden, according to Cliff Anderson.
