The first power chain saw to be used in the Clearwater area is the answer for Week 234 of Orofino History Trivia a special feature to celebrate the history and heritage of Clearwater Country.

According to Tom Farbo's book, White Pine, Wobblies and Wannigans, the first power saw used in the Clearwater area was on May 1943 at Camp 53, Waha Lake. The two-man Disston was electric and powered by a CAT-mounted generator. Walter Tacy and Clem Norton were the first saw team. Cy Martin operated the CAT.
