City Council members take oath of office

Three Orofino City Council members took the oath of office Tuesday evening during the group's first meeting of 2006. The three Mike Deitrick, Ted Brown and Ryan Smathers were elected by voters in November 2005. Janet Montambo (foreground) administered the oath. Shown from left in front of the city seal are Mike Deitrick, Ted Brown and Ryan Smathers. Deitrick and Smathers had previously served on the council. Brown is filling the position previously held by Laura Booth. She has moved from the area.
