Strikers go to state tourney

Thirteen Orofino Strikers went to Cheney, WA Saturday to participate with 1,466 other wrestlers for the state championship tournament.

Weigh-ins started at 6 a.m. and the matches continued until 10 p.m.

• Those who placed first were John Walker 48 lb. weight class, Josh Walker 54 lb. weight class, David Upton 125 lb. weight class, and Preston Walker 81lb. weight class.
• There was only one that placed second and that was Garrett Senefsky in the 91 lb. weight class.
• Two third places went to Hayden Senefsky 83 lb. weight class and Michael Skinner 91 lb. weight class.

Those wrestlers that also attended the meet included Morgan Sweener 91 lb. class, Bert Roberts 94 lb. class, Jas Hudson 104 lb. class, Zack Irby 132 lb. class, Cole Senefsky 170 lb. class, and Danny Deitrick 178 lb. class.
