OJHS wrestlers participate in two tourneys

Orofino Junior High School wrestlers Michael Skinner, Preston Walker and Kacey Garland took first place in their weight classes during the Grangeville tournament Saturday.

Bert Roberts took a second and Cole Senefsky third in the tourney.

Grangeville, Prairie, Kamiah, Jenifer and Clearwater Valley junior high schools also participated in the matches.

Orofino Junior High School hosted a wrestling tournament, Thursday Feb. 3rd, at the Orofino High School gym.

The matches were well fought by the Vikings and represented Orofino well. Kacey Garland and Dave Upton each won two matches. Bert Roberts, Preston Walker, Cole Senefsky, and Michael Skinner each won single matches.

Besides OJHS, participating teams were: Clearwater Valley, Grangeville, and Prairie.

The next match will be held in Kamiah Tuesday evening.
