OJHS Seventh Grade Boys place second at meet

The Seventh Grade Boys Team from Orofino Junior High School traveled to Lewiston on May 17 for the Annual Bi-State Track Championships.

Coach Chad Easterbrook said they did exceptionally well placing second.

The final team scores were: Lincoln Middle School/Clarkston 151, Orofino Junior High School 95, Lincoln Middle School/Pullman 73, Sacajawea Junior High School 69, Moscow Junior High School 58, and Jenifer Junior High School 19.

Silas Hull won the 75 meter hurdles setting another Orofino Junior High Seventh Grade Boys record with a time of 11.19 Seconds. Seth Melton won the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run again setting a new Orofino Junior High Seventh Grade Boys record in 800 meters with a time of 2:18.22.

The team of Chandler Lytle, Silas Hull, Barry Knapp and Seth Melton won the 1600 meter relay with a time of 4:21.72. The OJHS Seventh Grade Boys results of the track meet are as follows: 75 Meter Hurdles: 1st-Silas Hull 11.19 (New 7th Grade Boys Record); Medley Relay: 2nd-Orofino(Daniel Korbel, Nick Brewer, Chandler Lytle, Barry Knapp) 1:58.53; 800 Meter Run: 1st-Seth Melton 2:18.11, 6th-Nick Brewer 2:34.51; 100 Meter Dash: 3rd-Silas Hull 13.07; 400 Meter Dash: 2nd-Silas Hull 1:02.95, 4th-Barry Knapp 1:03.56; 400 Meter Relay: 5th-Orofino(Colt Savage, Nick Brewer, Ben Palmer, Daniel Korbel) 59.04; 1600 Meter Run: 1st-Seth Melton 5:04.08, 5th-Nick Brewer 5:38.16; 1600 Meter Relay: 1st-Orofino(Chandler Lytle, Silas Hull, Barry Knapp, Seth Melton) 4:21.74; 800 Meter Relay: 5th-Orofino(Colt Savage, Kyler Dupea, Ben Palmer, Daniel Korbel) 2:12.56; Shot Put: 2nd-Barry Knapp 30' 6"; Discus: 2nd-Chandler Lytle 98' 2"; Triple Jump: 3rd-Seth Melton 30' 10".

The Eighth Grade Boys Team traveled to Lewiston May 17 For The Annual Bi-State Track Championships.
