OJHS Boys Track Team travels to Kamiah

In the 12 team Kamiah Invitational Track Meet at Kamiah May 6, the Orofino Junior High School Boys Team placed third.

The final team scores were Kamiah 114, Prairie 104, Orofino 103, Grangeville 58, Clearwater Valley 50, Timberline 48, Nezperce 42, Deary 37, Summit 9, Culdesac 3, Highland 3, And Lapwai 0.

Seth Melton again broke his own Orofino Junior High seventh grade school records in the 800 meter run (2:18.51) and 1600 meter run (5:03.89).

The Seventh Grade Boys Team traveled to Moscow May 11 for a meet with Moscow, Pullman and Logos. The final team scores were Pullman 85, Moscow 64, Orofino 58 and Logos 17. The Seventh Grade Boys Team set two more OJHS seventh grade boys records. Silas Hull set the 75 meter hurdles record with a time of 11.75. The 1600 Meter Relay Team Of Silas Hull, Chandler Lytle, Barry Knapp and Seth Melton set a new OJHS Seventh Grade Boys record with a time of 4:20.85.

The Eighth Grade Boys Team traveled to Moscow May 11 for a meet with Moscow, Pullman and Logos. The final team scores were Pullman 96, Moscow 83, Orofino 25, and Logos 18.
