Orofino Ladies lose to Kamiah Lady Kubs

The Orofino High School Lady Maniacs traveled to Kamiah Thursday night to meet the Lady Kubs in volleyball action.

The match was their first loss of the season and they did it without the services of Capri Savage. The athlete had surgery Thursday morning to repair ligaments and tendons in her foot. She will be out for the rest of the season.

Even so, the Lady Maniacs put on a good show. Kamiah won in the first three games but the scores were close, 25-20, 25-19 and 25-19.

Coach Julie Roby stated that Savage's services were missed, but that all of her players are really good players and that they will be back after some adjustments in the rotation.

The next match is being played today in Potlatch. Orofino beat Potlatch in a match played at home earlier in the season.
