Lady Maniacs win volleyball match

In Monday night action the Orofino High School Lady Maniacs traveled to Highland High School to play the Huskies in non league play.

Two of the three games were close matches as the Maniacs beat the Huskies by only two points in the first and third games. In the second game, Orofino rolled over Highland 25-12.

Coach Julie Roby said the team worked really hard and special kudos go to Keela Sykes and Jessica Gasaway. They came off the bench and made several good setup volleys for the ball to be returned. Ellen Rouse had five kills and 100 percent serves. Capri Savage and Kelsey Stemrich also had a good night for serves. Roby said all in all the team had a great night working as a team.
