Orofino Volleyball team comes away with big win

The Clearwater Valley High School Girls Volleyball team came to play at Orofino High School against the Orofino High School Girls Volleyball team in Tuesday night action.

According to Coach Julie Roby, "The girls (Lady Maniacs) were very sluggish in the first game." CVHS girls were able to beat Orofino by the score of 25-17.

Then the Lady Maniacs caught a spark, that lead them on to win the three final games to take the match. Ellen Rouse had an excellent night and served most of the final game.

Rouse had five kills, seven aces, and 12 digs on the night. Teammate Jessica Roby had two blocks, eight digs and five aces. Alex Palmer also helped in the mix with seven kills.

Game scores for Orofino were 17-25, 25-14, 25-22 and 25-15.

The next match will be Monday the Oct. 10 at Timberline beginning at 6 p.m.
