Orofino JVs have easy win over Potlatch

The Potlatch Junior Varsity Loggers came to Orofino High School to play the Orofino High School Junior Varsity team in football action Thursday night.

In the opening kickoff, Carey Chambers of Orofino got the ball and ran it back 93 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was no good. In return, Potlatch on their first down of the game ran the ball for a touchdown. Unfortunately for Potlatch, that was their final score.

D.J. Wright took advantage of Potlatch's lack of defense and his much improved passing. Chambers had five touchdowns. Danial Mathis also caught a pass and run it in for a touchdown from the 38 yard line.

Final score was Orofino JVs 46 Potlatch JVs 6. The next game for Orofino JVs is Oct. 6 at Kamiah. Play begins at 6 p.m.
