Orofino JVs win defensive battle.

The Orofino High School Junior Varsity Football team traveled to Asotin to take on the Asotin Panthers Friday.

Orofino quarterback Michael Welch and his crew struggled through the four quarters of the game while the defense on both sides played an excellent game. Casey Garland did what it took to get across the goal line for the game's only touchdown. He then carried the ball across the line for the two extra points.

Orofino took this one home with a win as they beat the Panthers with a final Orofino 8 Asotin 2.

Orofino JVs play Grangeville on Thursday night at Grangeville.
