Orofino boys take on Kamiah In round two of the Orofino High School Boys Baseball tourney, the Orofino High School Maniacs took on the Kamiah Kubs. The wind was substantial so not many long ball hits were to be expected. Kelby Enevold opened as pitcher for the Maniacs, but after allowing five runs in the first inning, Coach Bo Cummins replaced him with Cody Newman. The Maniacs were able to end the first half of the first inning with the third out with no other runs by the Kamiah Kubs. Orofino this year has a very young team coming into this season Both Cummins and Jeff Wright are often seen on the field teaching these boys how to play the game. One will also see the coaches firing up the team with team spirit. As assistant coach Zack Ward also is working with the team and school spirit. In the bottom of the first inning Rob Davis hit a home run for the Maniacs to round up the scoring. There were no scores in the second inning and Kamiah was held to only one run in the third. Fourth inning came and the Kubs were also able to add another run. Orofino Maniacs were able to get two hits this inning but the boys were left on base at the end of the inning. No one scored the fifth inning but it was all Kamiah in the sixth inning. Bases were loaded and Kamiah was able to score eight runs. Final score was Orofino 1 Kamiah 15.
