LCSC Orofino Outreach Center to host Kids College

The LCSC Orofino Outreach Center is offering a number of children's workshops in October.

"Spanish for Kids" will teach the basics of the language through games, crafts, and art activities. The first session is Oct. 4-25 from 3:30-5 p.m. For grades 1-3 they meet every Wednesday. For grades 4-6 they meet every Monday. The class will be held in the Orofino Elementary School library.

A new workshop teaching basic baton will be taught by Amanda Graber. Participants do not need any experience to take this class and will learn hands-on how to use a baton. It meets Oct. 12-Nov. 16, every Thursday from 3:45-4:45 p.m. (grades 1-3) or 5-6 p.m. (grades 4-8).

Kids College will be all day Oct. 13 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The plan for the day is to have participants cook their own breakfast of French toast, make decoupage boxes, make their own Indian tacos, create origami lotus blossoms, and more. It is for grades 3-6.
