Eight to compete in Orofino Junior Miss program Saturday

Eight young women will compete at 7 Saturday evening in the Orofino Junior Miss program at Orofino High School gymnasium.

The theme this year is "Puttin' on the Ritz" and admission is $5. 2005 Orofino Junior Miss Tracci Dial, 1st Runner-Up Liz Wentz and 2nd Runner-Up Lisa Huffman will host the evening with Jeff Jones as master-of-ceremonies. Timberline Junior Miss Emily Aultz will also join the festivities.

The contestants are: Capri Savage, daughter of Kurt and Helen Savage; Kelsey Stemrich, daughter of John and Sandy Stemrich; Andrea Bowser, daughter of Ronda and Kendal Bowser; Jillian Wilson, daughter of Dennis and Janece Wilson; Jessica Gasaway, daughter of Rick and Gwen Gasaway; Ashley Woolsey, daughter of Mindy Woolsey and Lee Woolsey; Jessica Robbeloth, daughter of Lynn Robbeloth and Stephanie Montambo, daughter of Rusty and Angie Montambo.

Scholarships will be awarded the night of the program in the categories of: interview, scholastic, fitness, talent, self-expression, Junior Miss, 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up. One of the young women will also receive a scholarship entitled the "Spirit of Junior Miss" which the contestants select as the participant they feel best exemplifies that spirit. A "Be Your Best Self" scholarship, on which the program is based, will also be presented.

Orofino's Junior Miss 2006 will represent the community at the Idaho Junior Miss program in Pocatello in October. Idaho's Junior Miss will then go on to the National Junior Miss competition in Mobile, AL in June 2007.
