Krieger receives promotion

Aaron Krieger was recently sworn in as the new Lieutenant at Idaho Correctional Institution-Orofino.

State Senator Skip Brandt was the keynote speaker. Deputy Warden Eric MacEachern spoke about Krieger’s career with the Department of Corrections. Warden Kevin Kempf swore him in and his wife had the honor of pinning on his badge.

Krieger began his career with the Department of Correction in Orofino in 1997 as a correctional officer. He was later promoted to the position of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist at North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood. In February 2003, he transferred back to ICIO as a PSRS. He remained in this position until his recent promotion.

About 30 people including his wife, children, parents and co-workers were in attendance.
