Help turn vision into reality

Remember the Vision that Orofino community members developed last January with David Buerle? Now it is time to plan the action to make it happen.

All community members who would like to be a part of turning the vision into a reality are invited to a Horizons sponsored Community Action Workshop Thursday, Sept. 29 at Orofino High School. At 5:30 there will be pizza and networking. The workshop will begin at 6 p.m.

Lorraine Roach, of the Hingston Roach Group, will help participants from the community develop an Action Plan that will identify specific actions and steps that can be taken to achieve the community's vision.

The Action Plan will:

  • Reflect the community Vision
  • Help the community move forward to make the vision a reality
  • Identify resources (funding and technical assistance)
  • Specify a timeline
  • Identify responsibilities and priorities to implement the plan

To ensure that the Action Plan represents the priorities of the community, it is important that the following groups be represented at the meeting: city and county officials, Orofino Chamber members, school board members, civic group representatives, youth, adults, senior citizens, business owners, employees and community members.

Everyone's voice matters in planning the future of Orofino. Come make a difference and help turn the vision into reality.
