Lady Vikings travel to Prairie

Coach Joe Sams of the Orofino Junior High School Lady Vikings basketball teams reported that the girls traveled to Prairie last Thursday.

The seventh graders lost their game by 12 points. Even so, they played up to Prairie's tough team and did a lot of things really well. Sams said the seventh grade team is growing a lot this season.

In eighth grade action, the Lady Vikings come out ahead early in the game and held on to that lead, finally winning by five points.

Sams said it was all due to defense. He also stated that both games were excellent and that they had a great showing of sportsmanship.
