Good Morning Orofino scheduled Tuesday

Good Morning Orofino, a meeting for sharing information between organizations is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 7 a.m. in the Ponderosa Restaurant Banquet Room.

One person from each of the organizations in the community is invited to give a three minute presentation about what their group has and will be doing. All organizations are invited to participate in the no-host breakfast meeting.

"Good Morning Orofino gathers all of the many organizations, agencies, and individuals who are busy making Orofino a better and more prosperous place to live, so we can share information and opportunities," said Heather Burnham, Orofino Chamber of Commerce director. "The format is simple; we request that one person from each entity attend to briefly, in three minutes or less, share an update of the entity's activities. Also, feel free to bring an informational flyer to pass around that people will be able to take notes from. We may also include an update or two regarding larger projects that affect us all. The whole discussion should take no more than two hours."

The first Good Morning Orofino took place Oct. 25, 2005. These gatherings are to be held once a quarter and that time is already here. Forty-two organizations were represented at the first meeting. Valuable information was shared, and feedback was very positive.

"We are looking for input and suggestions on how to make our meetings flow smoothly, remain on target and informational, so please share your suggestions and comments at the end of the meeting," Burnham said. "This meeting is all about communication, so anyone is invited, but we ask that only one organization member give an update during the course of the meeting.
