Clearwater steelhead biting better

The cold weather has subsided and the steelhead in the Clearwater River are biting better on shrimp, eggs and jigs.

According to Evelyn Kaide, the point at Dworshak National Fish Hatchery is hot for anglers.

There are still a lot of good fishing dates before warm weather melts the snow above, she added.

Peck ramp will be closed through June for the Nez Perce Tribe hatchery program.
