Anglers still catching steelhead

There is ice in the Clearwater River and cold weather is forecast for the next few days, but anglers are still catching steelhead, according to Evelyn Kaide of the Guide Shop.

There are still plenty of fish in the river and warmer weather is forecast next week.

Eggs and sand shrimp are the favorites from boats, while bank anglers are doing well with bobbers and jigs.

Peck Ramp will be closed through June for the Nez Perce Tribe hatchery program.
