Three fireside programs planned

The U.S. Forest Service will be sponsoring three fireside programs this weekend.

Kearstin Edwards will present "What Awaits in the Wilderness" Friday, Aug. 12 at the Powell Campground. The program will begin at 7 p.m. in the amphitheatre.

That same evening "Lewis and Clark and the Nez Perce People" will be presented at Wilderness Gateway. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time in the Pavilion.

Saturday, Connie Grant as Lucy Meriwether Lewis Marks will present "A Mother Relives the Story" in the first person as an herbalist and the mother of Captain Meriwether Lewis. The program will be in the amphitheatre at 7 p.m.
