Fire fighters learn about wildland blazes Fire fighters from across the region gathered in Orofino last weekend to learn about fighting wildland fires at the Clearwater County Fire Chiefs Association Wildland Fire Academy. According to Orofino Fire Chief Mike Lee, 107 fire fighters participated in the classes that covered skills such as: "Basic Wildland Firefighting", "Standards for Survival" and "Fire Operations for the Urban Interface". Zach Turner representing The Supply Cache, Inc. displays gear available for fire fighters working on wildland blazes. Orofino Fire Captain Keith Brink taught one of the courses. Brink works for Idaho Department of Lands. |
