Law enforcement training planned at pool Friday

Clearwater County Sheriff's Department and Orofino Police Department will be conducting a training exercise Friday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old city pool behind Orofino Elementary School.

According to Chief Deputy Chris Goetz, instructor, the Emergency Response Training (ERT) will include the use of "flash-bangs" and officers will be SWAT attire. About 8-10 officers will be involved. There will be an unusual number of law enforcement vehicles and noise in the area during the training.

The old pool provides good training site because it is soon to be demolished.
