Kathy Jo Ely, 47, Pierce

Kathy Jo Ely was born Oct. 21, 1957 in Lewiston to Buck and Bobbie Jo McMillen. She passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005 in Orofino.

Kathy lived in Lewiston until 1967 when she moved with her family to Pierce. She attended the Pierce School and graduated from Timberline High School in 1976.

She married Tim Fitzpatrick in 1976. The marriage ended in divorce.

Kathy married Kevin Ely in July of 1993. Kevin passed away in 2002, following a short illness.

She enjoyed camping spending time with her grandchildren Jadan and Krystal Dahl. She loved going to Jadan's motorcycle racing events. Kathy will always be remembered for her love of animals. At the time of her death, she enjoyed working at the White Pine Credit Union in Pierce.

Kathy is survived by her son, Thomas Fitzpatrick of Lewiston; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Sandy Dahl, grandchildren, Jadan and Krystal Dahl of Fraser; her parents, Buck and Bobbie Jo McMillen of Pierce; a brother and his wife, Mike and Lori McMillen of Weippe; and a sister, Carole Taylor of Pierce. She enjoyed her many nieces and nephews and all of her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Ely.

A family viewing was held Friday and a memorial service was held this afternoon.

Pine Hills Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
