Save the evening of Thursday, Sept. 28, to attend the second annual Fall Clearwater Substance Abuse Forum.

Clearwater Substance Abuse Workgroup (CSAW) is sponsoring the free forum that begins at 6:30 p.m.

"We hope to fill the conference center at the Lodge At The River's Edge with parents, grandparents, employers, business owners, and concerned citizens," said Cindy Chaney, CSAW coordinator.

"This year we have the privilege of bringing back to speak to our students Bob Mortimer. Bob spoke to kids at THS and at OJHS last year and by the request of teachers, students, and parents we are able to bring him back," Chaney said. "Bob will be talking to our elementary students, the ninth graders at THS, and to the student body at OHS. We are very privileged to have him as the Keynote Speaker at the forum in the evening. This man is magical when he talks to our kids. He has a lot to offer the adults as well."

The forum is meant to bring awareness to the problems the community is facing with drugs, underage and irresponsible drinking.

"This year we will try and answer questions such as: What should I be watching for? How do I know if my child or employee is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol? What happens to my child if they are caught? What is my role and responsibility with the court system," Chaney said.

There will be a time to ask questions.
