Commissioners hold P&Z hearing Clearwater County Commissioners held an open public hearing April 24 to consider the report and the recommendations from the Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission meeting that was held April 17. The following were approved because they met the county zoning ordinance:
P&Z Administrator TJ Rausch read into record the staff report and findings on the P&Z hearing for the simple subdivision amendment. This matter has been brought in pursuance of the provisions of Article XIII of the Clearwater County Subdivision Ordinance No. 34, providing for the amendment of to the Simple Subdivision procedure of said ordinance. The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a hearing to consider this matter on April 17 and testimony was taken for and against the amendments. A hearing is scheduled for May 22. Angela Vander Pas gave an update on the IT/Networking Department. There was a bill submitted for the back up device and labor charges for the switch over. The total cost is $4,599, which is lower than what was originally estimated. A draft letter was reviewed explaining the rural re-addressing. She is sending out invitations for the potential committee members to attend. Rob Simon, Road and Bridge supervisor, presented an update. Commission Chair Don Ebert asked the commissioners to approve the road department installing some small road signs for the Lewis Clark Bicentennial Byway per the request of Terry Summerfield, as long as Idaho Transportation Department directs installation in state right-of-way. All road restrictions for hauling were lifted, except on Grangemont Rd. Road crews will be placing asphalt in the upper parking area of courthouse and the parking area at the Lewis Clark Crossing site. The Sheriff's department report as given by Chief Deputy Chris Goetz. The commissioners discussed paying the equipment bills amounting to $1,570.09 in place of paying for the vehicle to Sheriff's budget out of P&Z budget. They approved paying for the equipment expenditures out of General Miscellaneous Operating Expense #01-18-499-00. A refund of $61.35 in fees on MH0BR00K003708 was approved. A motion to sign Resolution #06-04-16 transferring the mineral rights that were acquired by tax deed recorded as Instrument no. 100252, recorded on Jan. 7, 1972, for the sum of $1,000 was approved. Four executive sessions were held to discuss personnel, litigation and indigent issues. All three commissioners were present for the session. |
