Reva J. McGee Cleveland, 50, formerly of Orofino

Reva J. McGee Cleveland passed away in her sleep Monday, April 24, 2006 at her Fairbanks, AK home.

Reva was born April 8, 1956 at Orofino to Earl and Jean McGee of Peck. She grew up at Peck going to elementary school there and riding the bus to Orofino for junior high and high school.

She married John Creaser and had a daughter, Jennifer, who was always the bright light of her life.

Later in life, after a divorce, she went to school and worked as an optical grinder. She also did a lot of work as a caregiver for the elderly, including caring for her father in recent years. She was also a professional cook.

Reva loved the outdoors. She was always ready to enjoy camping, nature walks, badminton, sledding or fishing. She loved tending her flower and vegetable gardens.

Reva loved cats, classic rock music and her favorite singer was James Taylor. She was a good Christian and got a lot of pleasure from upholding traditional family holidays.

Reva had a quick wit and loved to write poetry. She also loved to write and receive long handwritten letters. She was a beautiful person who loved her family and always like to dress well.

Reva married Larry Cleveland in the summer of 2005 and they moved to Fairbanks to pursue work.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Cleveland of Fairbanks; her daughter, Jennifer and Keith Binkley of Seattle, WA; brothers, Dan and Janet McGee of Clarkston, WA, Mike and Darla McGee of Orofino and Rick and Syd McGee of Quincy, CA.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Peck Community Center. Burial is planned for 4 p.m. at the Orofino Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pine Hills Funeral Chapel in Orofino.
