Annual Camas Festival focuses on Sacajawea Weippe's Annual Camas Festival focused on the life and contributions of Sacajawea, particularly as they related to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Two Native American speakers who have particularly researched Sacajawea, one Lemhi Shoshone and other Hidatsa-Mandan, shared their perspectives and knowledge about Sacajawea. Rose Ann Abrahamson, a cultural historian and educator, is the great-great-great niece of Sacajawea through Chief Cameahwait (brother of Sacajawea) and great-great granddaughter of Chief Tendoy (son of Cameahwait last Lemhi Shoshone chief). Amy Mossett is a Sacajawea researcher, scholar and consultant who is Hidatsa and Mandan. She is a member of the Three Affiliated Tribes of North Dakota.
