Boil water order lifted

A boil water order issued for the City of Orofino Sunday has been lifted.

According to Larry Annen, Water/Wastewater supervisor, samples taken to Lewiston Monday show the system is back in compliance. Fluctuating turbidity in the Clearwater River, source for the city's water, caused problems with the system.

Riverside Water District reported that their system is staying within compliance for drinking water. Riverside and the city have different types of filtering systems in the respective water treatment plants.
