Baby's death determined accidental asphyxiation The death of a one-month old child Sept. 24 has be determined to be accidental asphyxiation, according to Clearwater County Coroner Maurice Masar, M.D. A Clearwater County Sheriff's Department news release said their dispatcher received a 911 call Sept. 24 that an ambulance was needed for a non-responsive month-old child. Deputy Mike Gladhart and Officer Eric Dodge responded to a residence in Ahsahka to assist. While Dodge administered CPR to the infant, Gladhart transported them to the hospital. During an interview with the child's father, he said that he and the child had laid down for a nap. When he woke up, he found that the child was not breathing and called 911 for help, according to CCSO. |
