Snowmobile-based avalanche awareness course planned

A snowmobile-based Avalanche Awareness Course will be held in Grangeville Jan. 13 and 14.

Richard Gummersall, Certified National Avalanche Instructor for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation will be instructing the course.

The classroom portion of the course will be held at the Nez Perce National Forest Supervisor's Office in the East/West Conference Room on Friday, Jan. 13 from 6-8pm and the field day will follow on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Fish Creek.
