'Circuit Breaker' law changes There is a change to the "Circuit Breaker" property tax reduction law, according to Clearwater County Assessor Mellisa Stewart. The income qualifier for the program is increased to $28,000 for 2006 and the maximum tax reduction benefit is increased to $1,320. The law now includes capital gains as income and removes the principal portion of annuities from income. The deadline to file for the "Circuit Breaker" property tax reduction is April 17 at the Assessor's office. Please contact the Assessor's office at 208-476-7042 with any questions. |
