Creating Cabachons provides fun for grandma, granddaughter
Christmas is a fun time of year to learn new things, especially when it helps you to make special handcrafted gifts for loved ones.
Bev Latham found out about the Cabachon (fused glass) classes at Frame of Mind and thought ti would be a fun activity to do with her 11-year-old granddaughter, Kylie. At Thanksgiving time when Kylie was in Orofino visiting from Eugene, OR, they took time to learn together.
Bev said Kylie did most of the creating and made Christmas gifts including earrings, necklaces, keychains and other such items for her family members and teachers. Bev said she was impressed with Tony's patience and the way he worked to teach and show them how to make the cabachon creations. Tony owns Frame of Mind and teaches the classes in Cabachon and stained glass.
The two plan to take another class when Kylie is here visiting again.
