Frame of Mind's featured artist this week is Norma Pfaff
Norma was born and raised in Montana. Her husband, Steve, had a dream to move to Central Idaho, so in 2006, Norma sold her busy tax practice of 23 years to join him in his dream, an they settled in Kamiah
Since the move, Norma found the time to pursue her dreams: art and photography.
Norma has worked in pencil, oil, watercolor, acrylic and china mediums. She's passionate about painting portraits of people and animals, but enjoys painting old buildings, vehicles and machinery.
"I love to get lost in my thoughts about the story behind the subject I'm working with. It really doesn't matter if it's an old broken down truck and barn or even an old sole from a shoe that one finds lying in the road, and it doesn't matter if I'm trying to capture it on film or canvas, there is a story to be told. That's what I want to do, convey the story, the feeling!"
Norma also set up a small matting and framing shop where she custom mats and frames mos all of her work.
