Tutors to meet Friday

The Adult Learning Center will have a morning work time from 9 a.m. until noon Friday, June 16, for volunteers who are tutoring adults in English as a Second Language and for people interested in becoming volunteer tutors of English.

The purpose of the session is to review instructional materials and plan lessons.

Volunteer tutors from the Adult Learning Center work one-on-one with ESL students, often meeting weekly for lessons and study. English as a Second Language students are adults who want to improve their abilities to listen, speak, read, and write in English. They did not grow up speaking English.
