Action Plan ready for review

The final draft of Orofino's Community Action Plan is ready for review.

Below are final draft copies of the plan for the review of local residents. They are in pdf format and Acrobat Reader is needed to open them.

For the past several months, Lorraine Roach, president of the Hingston Roach Group, has been working with people of the community to gather input for the plan which is a vision for the future of Orofino with steps to make it a reality.

The final plan will provide a blueprint for priority actions, timelines, responsibilities and funding sources to implement key community and business priorities that have been determined from the input of local residents. The plan addresses business and economic development, recreation facilities, youth programs, educational opportunities and collaboration.

Roach will present the finalized plan at a public meeting Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Everyone is invited to attend.
