Orofino man injured in motorcycle accident

A 53-year-old Orofino man was seriously injured in a motorcycle vs deer accident this morning about 4:49.

Phillip E. Tyler was traveling on his 1995 black and maroon Kawasaki near milepost 39 on Hwy 12 when he encountered the deer.

Tyler was initially taken to Clearwater Valley Hospital by Clearwater Ambulance Service. He was later flown by medivac helicopter to Sacred Heart Medical Center. No further information on his condition was available before publication time. It is unknown if he was wearing a helmet.
