Woman killed in accident

A woman was killed Thursday when a tree fell on the vehicle in which she was riding, according to Idaho State Police.

Patricia L. Angle, 39, Kamiah, was driving a 1999 Subaru Impreza eastbound on U.S. Highway 12 near mile post 53, two miles upriver from Greer, about 4:40 p.m. when a tree fell from the roadside and hit the car on the right side. The impact caused the vehicle to go off the edge of the road down a 100 foot embankment. Erma Radon, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene. Angle was taken to Clearwater Valley Hospital by Clearwater County Ambulance Service, the ISP report said.
