There are a couple of familiar faces on this team as both Holly Jones and Brianna Savage, Orofino High School graduates, play on this team. Holly is in her second year and a Brianna is in her first year of eligibility with the Chukkars.

Holly said Sunday's game will only be the second game of the season. They played the Boise State Club Friday night.

During the practice, the women's softball team worked really hard and was constantly talking to one another. Some of the examples were they would call out the type of hit that was being made, where to throw the ball, and whether it was a relay or not.

After practice and the girls got cleaned up were treated to barbecue chicken, pork chops and spaghetti put on by Jeff and Monica Jones and Kurt and Helen Savage. The girls that wanted to attend the Orofino Junior Miss Saturday night had there way paid.

Joneses served breakfast before the Chukkars headed north in the Sunday morning. Monica said it was a way to say thank you to the team for stopping and practicing here in Orofino. The team stayed at the Konkolville Motel Saturday night before heading to Couer d'Alene on Sunday.
