National Weather Service issues Winter Weather Advisory National Weather Service-Missoula has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Orofino/Grangeville Region, Lower Hells Canyon/Salmon River Region from 7 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday and the and the Northern and Southern Clearwater Mountains from 10 p.m. Monday through 4 p.m. Tuesday. Orofino/Grangeville Region Snow is expected with total snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches above 3,000 feet, including Grangeville and Whitebird Hill, with up to 2 inches of snow in the lowest elevations. Areas of particular concern include: Greer Grade, White Bird Grade, U.S. Highway 95 Slate Creek to Riggins, Camas Prairie, and Grangeville and vicinity. For moderate winter weather impacts, expect disruptions to normal activities. Hazardous traveling conditions. Use extra caution while driving. Closures and disruptions to infrastructure may occur. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes, especially over higher passes. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions Slow down and use caution while traveling. Areas of particular impact include: State Highway 11 Pierce to Headquarters, Pierce, Elk River, U.S. Highway 12 Lowell to Lolo Pass, Elk City and Dixie.
