Residents being advised of evacuation levels due to Mile Marker 25 Fire

According to Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office, currently the area starting at Amos Bench Road east to Mile Marker 28 on U.S. Highway 12 is set to the "READY" evacuation level.

US 12 is currently closed from Mile Marker 21-28 (Cherry Lane to Lenore Rest Stop) in both directions, according to Idaho State Police.

Current Area: Ready for the Amos Bench Road area and surrounding area to Mile Marker 28 on U.S. Highway 12.

SET - Be Alert. There is significant danger to your area. Residents should: Be ready to leave at a moment's notice. Load your vehicle with essential items. Ensure family members, pets, and livestock are prepared. Those needing extra time to evacuate should leave now. Continue monitoring official information.

GO - Evacuate Now. There is immediate danger to life. Residents should: Leave immediately using designated evacuation routes. Do not delay to gather belongings. Follow instructions from law enforcement and emergency personnel. Do not return until officials announce it is safe.
