Clearwater County Commissioners in process of Disaster Declaration Clearwater County Commissioners are in process of doing a Disaster Declaration and the state has been notified. Idaho 511 The Idaho Transportation Department has closed US Highway 12 from milepost 15 near Arrow to milepost 44 near Orofino due to multiple mudslides at mileposts 38 and 39. ITD is also responding to a blocked culvert at milepost 21 that is causing flooding. Additional reports indicate mudslides at milepost 73 north of Kooskia, and at mileposts 117 and 128 between Kooskia and Powell. In the Orofino area, flooding is also being reported across State Highway 7 north of Orofino at the School Bus Garage. Crews are actively working these locations. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, expect hazardous conditions, and use caution if travel is necessary. Check 511 for any updates. Our city team is "All Hands On Deck" working to mitigate flooding as quickly and safely as possible. Clearwater County Sheriff's app US 12 remains closed at Pinkhouse Recreation Area. Other closed roads include: Grangemont at milepost 2, Sunnyside Bench at Rainbow and Bobbitt Bench at US 12.
