Incumbents win Clearwater County contested races

Incumbents, Commissioner Vince Frazier and Clerk/Auditor/Recorder JoAnn Davis, won their races in the Clearwater County Republican Primary Tuesday night.

District 2 Commissioner Frazier won a tight race over challenger Kelly Coursey with 737 to 707 votes respectively. In the Clerk's race Davis had 1,060 votes to Savannah Bertholf's 360.

Orofino resident Todd Perry challenged incumbent Republican State Representative District 2 Seat B Dale Hawkins. Perry received 480 votes to Hawkins 886 from Clearwater County voters.

In Clearwater County's uncontested Republican races: District 1 Commissioner Mitch Reggear received 1,239 votes; Assessor Susan Spencer, 1,235; Treasurer Julie Barnett, 1,237 and Coroner Allen Rowan, 1,226. Barnett and Rowan will be replacing current Treasurer Dawn Erlewine and current Coroner Dennis Fuller who did not run for re-election.

A total of 1,774 ballots were cast in this Primary.
