Power outage leaves some Weippe, Pierce, Orofino customers in the dark

A power outage has both Clearwater Power and Avista Utilities customers in the dark Thursday evening, primarily in the Weippe area.

According to the Clearwater Power outage map, there are 699 customers out and Avista Utilities lists 719 customers out.

At about 8:30 p.m., the message on the Clearwater Power outage line, says they are aware of the outages, but do not have an estimated time of restoring power. Avista is also investigating the outage for their customers, but does not have an estimate on restoring power.
