Clearwater Power reports all power restored, except those needing licensed electricians Clearwater Power reports that all power has been restored to customers, except those needing repair by licensed electricians. They issued this information at 5 p.m. on Dec. 25: "Power has now been restored to Clearwater Power members who experienced an extended, weather-related outage. "As linemen and crews worked into the Christmas holiday and wrap up work this evening, only a handful of outages remain. These include homes needing additional repair by licensed electricians before meters can be safely energized and reported, unoccupied cabins. "Note: Any Clearwater Power member without power at this time, should please call 208-743-1501. "The outage was caused when 80+ mile-per-hour wind caused significant damage to critical infrastructure on Wednesday morning, Dec. 17. "Contracted and cooperative crews will continue working alongside our cooperative-employed linemen through the weekend to replace poles and make repairs necessary for the integrity of the system. "Clearwater Power serves 3 to 4 members per mile of power line along more than 3,000 miles of lines and other infrastructure webbing out across the most rural parts of our counties. Your cooperative extends into 11 counties across 3 states, covering more than 5,000 square miles. "We appreciate the patience, support and resilience of Clearwater Power members during this extended outage." |
