The Gingerbread Man

To this day, I still remember the best Christmas ever. On the first day of Christmas, I was walking to the store to get some Berry flavored Mike and Ike's when I stumbled upon a coin. This coin was not a normal coin. A normal coin would be one from the United States of America or China or France. In fact, it had on it the face of the gingerbread man. On the front was its head and on the back were its legs. The weird thing was, the mouth on the gingerbread man's head was moving up and down like it was talking. I decided to bring it home and ask my little brother, Roger about it.

I got home and talked to Roger, but we couldn't figure it out. Finally, we just gave up and drank some hot chocolate. Come to think of it now, I think it was the smell of the hot chocolate that made it happen, because next thing Roger and I knew, we hear,

"Hello, it's me!"

Startled, Roger and I screamed really loud! "Who and where are you?!"

The voice replied, "First of all, look next to your cup and second, my name is Chauncey Gingieman!"

I was so confused as to what was happening and I bet Roger was too! So many questions were swirling in my head and the first one that popped out of my mouth was,

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here because I'm asking for you help." Chauncey said.

"Why do you need our help?" Roger said.

"I am on a quest to find my best friend. You see, I come from the future because my friend Frosty was taken by an evil man who wants to ruin dreams. What are your names?" Chauncey said.

"Well, I'm Tina and this is Roger." I said. "But why did you come to us?"

"I didn't, I just waited for someone to 'pick me up'.."

"Ok, well where do we go first?" Roger asked.

"The Candy Cane Forest." Chauncey said.

"But we don't have one of those." I said.

"You think you don't, but you do."

"All right then, show us." Roger said.

"Seriously?" I said.

"I'm dead serious. This is it." Chauncey said.

"This is a National Forest."

"Yeah, I know, but we have to get into the depths of the forest."

So we literally went into the middle of the forest and Chauncey was actually right! At first I still didn't believe him but I looked deeper and I saw it. It was small! Like miniature! Chauncey then gave us this drink and told us to drink it.

"What is this?" I said.

"It's a potion that will make us all smaller so that we can go into the Candy Cane Forest and save my friend." Chauncey said.

So both Roger and I reluctantly drank the potion, good thing it didn't taste too bad. As we were shrinking, I finally saw the beauty of the Candy Cane Forest. There were so many different types of candy canes! Right as I was admiring the candy canes, I heard this scream and Chauncey just took off running.

"Where are you going Chauncey?!" I said.

"That's Frosty! We have to go find him!"

After running a couple miles, we finally found him in a little candy house tied up and with all these lights faced on him. It was so scary to see him as he was almost dying. Roger and I went and moved the lights away so that Frosty wouldn't melt. There must've been some sort of trigger on the rope because when we took it off, the house started crumbling down!

"Run!" Roger said.

We ran out and almost got crushed by a big lollipop, but thankfully we dodged it just in time. We got back to the place where we started and Chauncey gave us the potion to make us bigger. We all quickly drank it and became normal sized again. We started to celebrate, but suddenly Chauncey got shot with a freeze ray! I turned around and realized that it was the evil man that Chauncey was talking about.

"Why did you do all this stuff?!" I asked.

"I never got the chance to experience a good Christmas and all those Christmas stories, so if I get rid of the Gingerbread Man and Frosty the Snowman those kids won't know them either!" the evil man said.

"Well-"

Just as I was about to speak, Roger came up behind the evil man and hit him with a large stick and knocked him out!

After that, we unmelted Chauncey, then he and Frosty took the evil man back to their world where he would be put to jail. They asked us what they could do to repay us but we just told them that it was no problem. However, after Christmas break, just as we were about to start school again, it snowed continuously for a week! Roger and I didn't have to go to school because of all the snow! I wonder who was responsible? Hehehe.

Anyway, this was my story on the most exciting Christmas I've ever had!
